Finished table topper

This table topper was a started project from my customer's wife who passed away.  She already had the block finished and the binding ready so all I had to do was sandwich, quilt and bind it.

I did very easy quilting so it was a quick job.  It turned out cute.  Now if only I didn't have sewing stuff all over my table, I'd be able to test it out!

I'm getting ready to start my UFO list so I can focus and knock out some more projects!  I'm just scared what that number will be!  Wish me luck.

Spools quilt top finished

I just noticed that I never showed off my spools quilt top with the applique finished.  I love how it turned out and I can't wait to get it quilted!

Yup, it's a happy quilt top!

I wish the background fabric was a little darker but I loved the vintage sewing tools it had on it.  It was just perfect for the quilt theme.

Now, what do I do with all of the other spool centers that I have left over?

Back in the saddle again

Looks like I took about a year off of quilting but, you will be happy to know that I am back at it again.  My sister yelled at me for leaving that horrible picture of my leaf stuck to my iron on the screen for waaaay toooo long!  Okay, okay, I heard.

This pattern is from the book Scrappy Firework Quilts by Edyta Sitar.  It's called Quilter's Schoolhouse Quilt.  My sister and I are in the Edyta Sitar fan club at our local quilt shop.  This was the quilt we worked on for the last few months.  We did a half square triangle exchange to get the variety for our scrappy quilts.

The next club quilt will be one of her mini patterns.  We are all choosing our own pattern next time.

I'll be back with more pictures soon.  I am on a mission to get a lot done!  New year's resolutions don't work so well with me.  So, I thought I'd get a head start on it.
