RSC block #5

 

I wasn't planning on posting this.  I want to use them as leaders and enders.  But, I decided to start with blues since it was the color of the month.  I had a friend give me a bunch of leftover triangles to make something out of.  Saw a quilt online somewhere and decided to use it as inspiration.  I call it triangle butterflies.  They still need to be trimmed but all in good time.

Today's two added to the last 2...

Can you tell the difference between the first 2 and the last 2?  I don't think it will be noticed in the finished quilt.

Another RSC block #4

Second block for my scrappy trip quilt.  I noticed by looking at the sample that I'm doing them different.  There's is more bargello.  And mine has every diagonal with a different color.  Not sure how I will do my next blocks.  Maybe lay them out and see.

RSC block #4 + strawberry block

I have been wanting to do a quilt with this block but it has seemed overwhelming so I never started it. Then it kind of hit me that I could use the rainbow scrap challenge to help me get it done. My plan is to use the color of the month for the center squares. I'm thinking about 4 a month aught to do it.

Also got this cutie strawberry done today. It's made with the same size squares as the trip block...I'm using 2 1/2 inch squares.

RSC block #3

This is a continuation from last year's RSC. I still have a few more of these blocks to make before i have enough for my granddaughter's big girl bed. It's getting close though.

i want to use the scrap challenge to get these blocks done. So, the blue was the starting point and then I want it to have really bright points to set it off.
