Bright Triangle quilt finish

 

So, I went a little crazy when I bought the bolt of yellow fabric!   When I saw this pattern, I knew it would be good to show off a pretty fabric.  After searching for some fabrics to complement the main design, this is the quilt I made.

Equalizer quilt finish

 

I was able to use up a lot of pink scraps for this quilt.  I didn't buy any new fabric to finish it!  Yay me!  

Backing was from a  wide back bolt that my friend and I are sharing.

Kennedy's quilt

 

This was made just in time for Christmas and I forgot to post it.  It was gifted to my daughter-in-law Kennedy.  I asked her what her favorite color was and she said army green....WHAT?!!  Oddly, I did find a few fabrics in my stash to start with and I only had to add a couple more.  Army green is NOT my color but I think it turned out cute anyway.  The black frame helped the fabrics play together better.  The picture doesn't do the colors justice unfortunately.  But, the quilt looks great with her red hair that I love!

Rainbow hurricane quilt finish

 

The rainbow scrap challenge got me working on my crumb blocks.  This is my finish for those blocks.  I call it rainbow hurricane. 

Loving that it used up a lot of small scraps.

This backing fabric was perfect and also used for the binding.

Red & white quilt finish

 

These blocks were made during the red month for the rainbow scrap challenge.  I loved the red and white not mixed with other colors.  Leftover parts became a border.

Happened to have this red & white print in my stash for the backing.

Added some more leftover parts to make the backing wide enough.  Love how it turned out!

RSC purple baby quilt finish

 

I kind of fizzled out on some of my RSC blocks.  I didn't like the colors all mixed together.  So, I decided to whip up another baby quilt to have on hand.

I had an abundance of this fabric for the backing.  I have already used it on at least 2 other throw quilt backings.  Happy to be using it up.

My friend Doreen Hammond free motion quilted it.  Turned out super cute with the girly flowers!

Baby quilt-bead blocks

 

I ended up with leftover blocks from the quilt I made for my boss.  The blocks were made during the rainbow scrap challenge.  Since I'm changing up the blocks I'm making for this year, I decided to put those into a baby quilt to have on hand for the next time I need one.

I like this light green print for the back.

RSC green baby quilt finish

 

I started making these blocks last year for the rainbow scrap challenge.  I decided I didn't like the colors all mixed together.  So a couple of the colors ended up in baby quilts.  This is the first one.

RSC churn dash finish (turq)

 Churn dash block was one of my choices for the rainbow scrap challenge a couple years ago.  Finally got a couple quilts made out of them and I still have blocks leftover.  Turquoise and teal are my favorites!

Izzy's college quilt finished

 This was a free pattern from moda.  The quilt was planned for my friend's daughter who just went off to college.  She requested pale yellow, white and navy.  I think it turned out perfect for her.

Aussie quilt finish

 My husband and I went to the upper peninsula for our 30th anniversary.   Also happened to be the all michigan shop hop time.  I took him to breweries and I went to quilt shops.  Found lots of Australian fabrics that I liked.  This is the result...

I fussy cut the boomerangs for the center and side borders.

I also fussy cut the binding.

The leftover pieces went on the back which I think turned out kind of cool too!  So happy with this quilt.

Peacock quilt finish

 The striking colors are what got me with this quilt.  I love the turquoise in it!  I believe it was a swirly girls pattern.

Giant flying geese quilt finished

 Mostly Tim Holtz fabrics were used for this quilt.  It's a little more modern look than I usually do.  I just love some of his texty prints and needed to use them in a way to enjoy the fabric.

 I was also able to use another texty print for the backing.  Love it!

 I enjoyed following along with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  This is one of the quilts I was able to make with the blocks I finished.
