I really like the print on these fabrics and wanted to enjoy that. Found this pattern online and was hooked. I may try it again and work with the lights and darks differently.
Love the texty fabrics on the back too.

Rainbow scrap challenge finish! This was my leader/ender project for 2023. I call it triangle butterflies. So, when my friend quilted it...she made butterflies around them. So cute!
I used up a bunch of fat quarters for the back.
And I used the trimmings for the scrappy binding.
Done. First finish for 2024.
I had leftover 2 1/2 in strips and squares cut from last year that I needed to find blocks for. Zipper blocks and hollow nines work great! I also had a lot more green scrap to use up and have been wanting to do some sort of windmill block. Does anyone know if there is an official name for that block? I don't know what to call it.
It feels good to be working on some new blocks this year. I still have a lot of green to go and the days go by so fast!
I have a list of the blocks I'd like to make this year for the rainbow scrap challenge. I think I have a few too many on the list so I'll see what I can get through in a month and stick with it for the year.
This week I made 10 chandelier blocks. Those were super easy, fun and a quick finish. I will definitely stick with making these this year.
Also worked on making some crumb fabric to cut blocks from. I need to go in search of some more nice green scraps. A lot of the scraps in my bin are more sage colors. That gives me a good reason to go in search of scraps that need to be combined anyway.
Next up....
Hollow 9 patches
Zipper blocks
Maybe windmills?
There are more on the list but I don't want to get ahead of myself.
