Churning orange scraps

 

Working on orange scraps for the RSC (rainbow scrap challenge).  I love little churn dash quilt blocks!

Happy little churn dash!  I haven't made one in a few months.  It feels good to get back at it.  I've got a few more cut in hopes of getting them put together this week.

Also finished up 3 more slab blocks for June. 

We didn't have regular green in the challenge yet this year and I still needed these blocks so I snuck them in too.

I already had one done and I've added 5 more.  These will go into large rainbow star blocks at the end of the year.

I need to make 3 more of these.  I used a little of my new fabric that I got at the show.

This month is orange.  I had a few strips that were already together that I just added a few more to make the length.  Looking forward to the end of the year to see these put into blocks.  I might have to wait until the following year to have enough for the quilt but that's ok with me.

I went to the AQS quilt show in Grand Rapids, MI today with my good friend Kathy.  We had a nice time.  I came home and cut up some of my new fabric for projects that I'm working on.  I love checking out my loot!

Testing pineapples

 

Testing out my pineapple blocks on my bed to see how many more I need.  I for sure need 10 more.  Hubby thinks maybe 16...yikes!  Love how it's looking!

This is the last of the blocks that I had started.  Now I'm back to the beginning of starting over.  I have 20 finished.  I'm planning on laying them out on my bed to see how many more I think I want.
